Cristóbal graduated in Physics from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in 2002 and received his D.E.A. in Electronic (Master’s degree) from the Université Pierre et Marie Curie and the Ecole Supérieure de Physique et de Chimie Industrielle de la ville de Paris (ESPCI) for a thesis on the optimisation of the performance of Multi–Wire Chamber (Gamma Camera) for imaging applications in nuclear medicine.
In 2007 he received the Ph.D. degree in the Sound and Vibration from the Institute of Sound and Vibration Research (ISVR) at the University of Southampton (UK) under the supervision of Professor Paolo Gardonio. From 2008 to June 2009 he was a post-doc researcher at the ISVR sponsored by the EU-FP6 under the European Doctorate in Sound and Vibration Studies (EDSVS).
From June 2009 to October 2010 he was an Associate Academic Staff - Experience Researcher at Production Engineering, Machine Design and Automation (PMA) Section – Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KUL) – Belgium sponsored by the EU-FP7 under the Smart Structures project.
In November 2010, he joined the Tire Vehicle Mechanics Group - Goodyear Innovation Center* Luxembourg (GIC*L) as Staff Engineer.
Since November 2013, he is an Experienced Researcher at the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC), or The Spanish National Research Council, Madrid.
