We have studied the effect of glass coating on the magnetic domain structure and magnetic properties of amorphous glass-coated Fe77.5-xNixSi7.5B15 (x=0-40) microwires. The existence of the radial domain structure is confirmed by the Bitter technique. The stresses introduced by the glass coating increase, when the temperature decreases, changing the domain structure of amorphous microwires. The radial domain structure calculated from the magnetization measurements has a thickness from 5 to 750 nm. Finally, the temperature dependence of the switching field shows the increase of the switching field at low temperatures as a result of the stresses introduced by the glass coating.
