QKD systems using multiple laser sources for the encryption of the quantum states can lead to temporal, spectral and/or spatial characteristics of the photon states that can be exploited by a malicious party to extract information. In this work, we propose and model a side-channel attack on free-space QKD systems using different laser sources with a certain degree of angular misalignment. If neither the transmitter nor the attacker truncates the beams, the attack makes theoretically unsafe any QKD system with any angular misalignment between the laser sources.
