Tenured Scientist at the Spanish Council for Scientific Research (CSIC).  He was born in Madrid, Spain in 1961. He received a Ph.D. degree from the Facultad de Física of the Universidad Complutense of Madrid in 1990. He has participated in more than twenty research projects with public and private financing. He has wide experience in the development of patented systems for processing ultrasonic signals for NDT applied to the characterization and inspection of materials that nowadays are operating in diverse technological companies both Spanish and European (AIRBUS, TALGO, Eurocopter, MTORRES, etc). His current scientific research interests include real-time digital signal processing and ultrasonic methods of non-destructive testing. He has obtained satisfactory results that have been exposed and published in scientific reviews and reports at national and international congresses. At the present time, he is involved in the development of techniques for measuring the microstructure of concrete materials, by non-destructive testing using embedded sensors.
