In order to increase the contrast in synthetic ultrasond imaging a hybrid beamformer based on the Delay-And-Sum and the Randomwalk Beamformer has been proposed. Analyzing the coarray structure of different data acquisition strategies, the redundacy in the data set has been used to divide the signal set in two different equivalent subsets. This process has been studied for the Full Matrix Capture set and for the Minimum Redundacy Coarray.
