SAW Sensors for Gas Detection in IFA

In this paper we make an overview of the history, applications and technology of the chemical sensors based on Surface Acoustic Waves (SAW) and their application to gas detection and more specifically to Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). It is also described the work carried out in the IFA-CSIC in this field throughout last years. Also we present some of the most relevant results obtained and our last contribuition to the design of the oscillators controlled by SAW devices.
